With his mechanical engineering background Nawaf Zeidan spent more than 12 years working with several American and European organizations where he honed his business management experience before joining the Development field in Training & Consulting through EU funded projects representing more than 24 years of experience in training and consulting, targeting SMEs, NGOs, Women empowerment, Young starter-ups and Entrepreneurs in particular.
He is a foremost Senior Training & Development expert with more than 36 years of experience in developing SMEs and youth skills, including more than 16 years in senior positions with EU funded projects, started with the Syrian-European Business Centre, an EU funded project run by “Price Waterhouse Coopers”, then SME Support Programme run by “GOPA-Germany”, Trade Enhancement Programme and other programmes.
He has delivered more than 600 training courses, seminars and workshops.
Specific fields of expertise include developing entrepreneurs starting from selecting, building capacity, evaluating business ideas, coaching, supporting and mentoring the business start up of young entrepreneurs, including women entrepreneurship “MAWRED” (Modernizing & Activating Women Role in the Economic Development).
He also has vast experience in developing private sector organizations and providing consultancy and technical advice to SMEs.
He is a founder member and ex-Director of “SMCA”, Syrian Management Consultants Association NGO and “SKILLS” (Superior Knowledge by Intensive Labour Learning Schemes – Business school).
He has strong written and oral communication, computer literacy and language skills.
